Three years ago, for a September 11th performance, the Martha Graham Dance Company commissioned three choreographers to create variations of Martha Graham’s masterpiece, “Lamentation.” So moving were these new pieces that the company commissioned more choreographers to do the same. Also on the program is "Panorama," a stirring Graham piece from 1935, set on the UNM Dance Department by the Martha Graham Company. The result is a stunning evening of modern dance.
