About The Show
This classic musical comedy follows a salesman who sells his soul to the devil to help his favorite team beat the New York Yankees. He becomes a young sensation who transforms the hapless Washington Senators, only to realize the true worth of the life (and wife) he left behind. The score features showstoppers like “Whatever Lola Wants,” “Heart” and “Two Lost Souls.” Winner of nine Tony® Awards, Damn Yankees has been a favorite for decades and is full of heart.

Don't miss Popejoy Hall's own Terry Davis, from the Marketing Department, at Bookworks as he discusses the creation of the hit musical Damn Yankees, from its origins as a novelette by Douglass Wallop to its incarnation as the first successful musical about baseball.
Davis has an MFA from the Department of Theatre and Dance at The University of New Mexico and has taught the History of the American Musical in the department and for UNM's Continuing Education Department.
