A Taste of Broadway Raffle

Drawing to be held at Popejoy’s 9th annual gala, A Taste of Broadway, on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the Hyatt in downtown Albuquerque. Winner need not be present to win.
How to Enter:
- The 9th Annual Popejoy Gala raffle begins October 27, 2011 at 7am and ends June 10, 2012 at 9:00pm.
- To participate in the contest, you must purchase one or more of the 5,000 raffle tickets issued by Popejoy Hall for the contest. Raffle tickets are not an admission ticket to the gala, which will be held June 10, 2012, at the Hyatt Regency in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Raffle tickets are $50 each.
Eligibility Restrictions:
- Employees of Popejoy Hall (UNM Public Events), its agencies, its contracted partners and members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.
- Winner(s) will be required to sign a contest release form before they receive a prize from this contest and to show a valid driver’s license as proof of age and residency.
- No more than 5,000 raffle tickets will be sold. Entrants will have a 1 in 5,000 chance of winning the prize. Odds may increase if fewer tickets are sold.
Prize:
- One grand prize winner will win a trip for two (2) to New York, NY which includes roundtrip airfare, ground transportation from the airport to the hotel, four (4) night hotel stay, and tickets to three (3) Broadway shows of the winner’s choice.
- Popejoy Hall must be notified of travel dates and show selections a minimum of thirty (30) days before the first day of travel. Popejoy Hall reserves the right to select the airline and flight times, ground transportation option, and hotel accommodations. Total value of the trip is not to exceed $5,714.00.
- The prize may be picked up from the Popejoy Hall administrative offices at a mutually agreed-upon time and date. If the prize is not claimed within thirty days of winning, it may be forfeited by the winner. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its arrival. Popejoy Hall and The University of New Mexico are not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
- Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may be substituted for a $3,000.00 cash option within thirty (30) days of raffle drawing.
Selection of Winners:
- Decisions of Popejoy Hall management with respect to the contest are final.
- One winner will be selected from all eligible entries on June 10, 2012, at Popejoy Hall’s 9th Annual Gala: A Taste of Broadway.
- Winner must present raffle ticket stub when asked to prove eligibility.
- There is no skill involved. The winner need not be present at the drawing to win.
Conditions
- Payment of all federal, state and local taxes is the sole responsibility of the winner. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.
- By participating in the contest, the winner agrees to allow their name, voice and/or likeness to be used in any advertising or promotional material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize.
- Contest winners (and their guests or travel companions, if any) will be required to sign a liability release prior to acceptance of any prize valued at $600.00 or greater or which prize includes the provision of transportation, whether or not such transportation is provided by Popejoy Hall and The University of New Mexico. Pursuant to the liability release, the winners will agree to indemnify and hold The University of New Mexico, its departments, affiliated companies and all officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents, volunteers and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
- Popejoy Hall and The University of New Mexico reserve the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, which will become effective upon announcement.
- The contest is void where prohibited.
- Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification, at the discretion of Popejoy Hall Management and/or The University of New Mexico.
- Neither Popejoy Hall Management nor The University of New Mexico is responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize.
