Health and Safety

Know Before You Go

We are committed to providing a safe experience for our patrons and artists. To do this, we’ve taken an approach informed by government guidance as well as input from the University of New Mexico administration. These are some of the safety measures we’ve implemented:

  • Contactless ticket scanners
  • Hand sanitizing stations
  • Enhanced cleaning procedures
  • Upgraded air filtration

Popejoy’s staff members have been fully vaccinated in accordance with university requirements.

Our commitment to safety doesn’t stop there. We welcome and recommend patrons wearing a  mask to Popejoy Hall performances. If you wish to wear one during your performance, please bring a mask with you.

All events are being planned at full capacity.  Additional COVID-19 related health protocols may be in effect at the time of performance. Popejoy Presents will make changes to health protocols according to updated public health guidance and applicable law at the time of performance. Future updates will be provided to ticket holders prior to the performance. Any ticket holder who does not comply with any COVID-19 related health protocol may be required to leave the theater, and their ticket will not be refunded.

In addition to this recommendation, patrons should:

  • Plan childcare for children under the age of 2
  • Call (505) 277-4569 if you are feeling sick or showing symptoms and cannot attend your performance

For your safety, additional security measures may be in place at your performance. Please visit our security page for more information.
